Air Force One Louis Vuitton: How to Spot a Fake Pair?

An iconic pair from Nike, the Air Force 1s met up with luxury brand Louis Vuitton to create the iconic Air Force 1 Louis Vuitton. Virgil Abloh saw the Nike Air Force 1 as a cultural symbol in its own right. The pieces of this pair of shoes are assembled by hand and sewing machine for an ideal and unique design. Since its release in 2022, the pair has been a huge success around the world. However, given the price, it's worth considering buying them off the shelves or second-hand. You still need to make sure that the pair is authentic. That's why, in this article, we give you our advice on how to tell the difference between a genuine pair of Louis Vuitton Air Force 1s and a fake.

The inside of the tongue :

First of all, pay particular attention to the inside of the tongue and, more specifically, to the brand inscription on this area. This inscription is regularly overlooked by crooks.

The first thing to look for is the word 'US'. On a genuine pair from the luxury brand Louis Vuitton, the text is thin and legible. The text is far too thick on fake pairs. The same is true of the 'Made in Italy' label.

The sole :

Let's move on to an analysis of the sole of the Louis Vuitton Air Force 1 trainers. This also tells us a lot about the authenticity of the shoes. Take a closer look at the inscription "AIR" on the sole.

The quote symbols are too thin on counterfeit pairs, unlike real pairs on which the symbols are thicker, shorter and generally squarer.

Back of the shoe:

You should also pay particular attention to the back of your pair of Louis Vuitton AF1s. The brand pays particular attention to detail, and this is particularly evident on this part of the shoe.

You should find the text "LOUIS VUITTON PARIS" on the back of the shoe. This text is too large on fake shoes. The letters should be small and thick.

Seams :

Also check the stitching on your luxury AF1 carefully. These are always an effective way of detecting a counterfeit, since replica factories don't apply the same standards as a real Louis Vuitton couture workshop.

On a replica of a pair of shoes, the seams are too thin. The seams need to be thick and tight to stand the test of time. This is not the case with replicas, where the stitching threads used are extremely thin, making the pair much less resistant.

Laces:

The last, but by no means least, point you need to look at is the laces on the pair, and more specifically the wording "LACETS" written on them.

The text on the fake pair is again too thin. The counterfeiters have also neglected this area, as the letters are not aligned. The lettering on a genuine Louis Vuitton pair, on the other hand, is thicker, with the letters correctly aligned with the stitching.

It is also not uncommon for counterfeit factories to forget to put this inscription on the laces. If your shoes do not have this text, you can conclude that they are counterfeit.
