The logo

Analyse the logo on the jumper, which is a key factor in spotting a counterfeit. Make sure that the outline is smooth and not irregular, as counterfeits never have the same level of detail as a genuine logo. The logo should be visible on the front of the jumpers. It is represented by a black circle and just below it is a pointed rectangular shape in the centre of which is the brand name 'Marant'. Note that the word 'Marant' is not always visible. However, the logo is always identifiable, either in large or smaller print on the side of the jumper. On an imitation, the logo is either not present or very poorly reproduced, with seams that curl or threads that stick out. The look can quickly become 'cheap'.
