How can you spot a fake Tudor watch?
Created in 1926, the Tudor brand is now one of the leaders in luxury watchmaking. The brand is seen as Rolex's little sister, since it was created by the same person, Hans Wilsdorf. Tudor is symbolised by a decorative rose, the emblem of the dynasty that ruled England for so long. The rose is also representative of the brand's elegance and style. The rose is supported by a shield, demonstrating the solidity and reliability of the watches. Unfortunately, the craze surrounding this brand has not been able to ward off counterfeiters, who have rushed to create replicas of these luxury timepieces. If you buy your watch outside an official shop, here are a few tips for distinguishing a genuine Tudor watch from a fake.
The text on the dial :
First of all, please pay particular attention to the text on the dial of your Tudor watch. It says a lot about its authenticity.
The counterfeits have defects in the thickness of the inscriptions on the dials. The "Tudor" and "Geneve" inscriptions on the upper part of the dial are thinner than those found on replica watches. The letters of these two inscriptions are too large and too thick.
On the lower part of the dial are three small markings which, on a counterfeit, appear too fine. Look more closely at the words 'chronometer', which are often badly counterfeited. The letters are too small and too narrow. On a genuine Tudor watch, the letters are thicker and cover more of the lower dial.

The watch crown :
The crown is the small round piece on the side that is turned to wind the watch or set the time. This part of the watch requires unique attention and expertise. It is therefore worthwhile for you to take a close look at this crown and, in particular, its rotation.
An authentic Tudor watch crown should be able to turn smoothly, without much effort on your part. This is a detail that replica manufacturers often forget. A counterfeit crown will be harder to turn.
Needles :
Also check the hands on your luxury watch. The three hands (hour, minute, second) on your product have characteristics that make them difficult to counterfeit.
The finishing of the lines of the hands is poorly done on counterfeits because it is more neglected by replica factories. The seconds hand is generally shorter on a replica watch than on an authentic Tudor.

The rose in the crown :
Pay close attention to the rose emblem on the crown of the watch. This detail is always perfectly in evidence on real watches. This little rose is made up of many small details.
The rose on a fake Tudor watch is too sharp, too visible and generally too detailed, making it too conspicuous.

The watch bezel :
Pay particular attention to the bezel of your watch, and more specifically to the colour and numbers on it.
On a fake watch, the numbers and dots on the bezel are too thick. These impressions are much finer and classier on genuine watches, given the expertise of the luxury watchmaking industry.
