Nike Technical Fleece: How to Recognize a Counterfeit?

The first thing to pay attention to is the neck label. This is a good clue to the authenticity of your garment. 

 

Take a closer look at the seams on the neck label. Nike is known for its excellent quality control, so the seams must be perfect, i.e. clean and neat. The seams on a counterfeit collar label are much wider, and differ from one another in size and shape.

The last point you need to analyse concerns the washing label. This label is often overlooked by counterfeiters because it is not very visible, which makes it very interesting to observe.

 

Look carefully at the threading on the label. It should be thick and even. This is not usually the case with replicas, which have a much finer thread.

The Nike logo is simple but requires a certain amount of expertise. It consists of the brand name, written in bold capitals. The letters are mostly glued together and all the same size. Just below this is the comma so popular with brand regulars. This is thicker at the beginning and extremely thin at the end. The last part of this comma is glued to the last bar of the E. These details are extremely precise, but guarantee the authenticity of your product. 

 

Replica factories tend to shorten the comma and make it thicker at the beginning.

Seams and fastenings

 

Take a close look at your Nike garment. The brand has recognised expertise, so if you find any irregularities or asymmetries in the seams, you're probably looking at a replica.

 

You can also check that the zips are in the right place. 

 

The main zip should be in the middle of the fleece. But a second should be on the left arm. The end of the zip is a cord. If the zipper is on the right arm or is missing, check the authenticity of your product.
