Dior B23: 5 tips for spotting fakes

Now more than ever, the streetwear trend has had a major influence on many collections from different brands. The famous French haute couture house Dior has given us the best sneakers of the last two years.

The first, heavily inspired by the Converse Chuck Taylor All Star model, is the Dior B23, and the second, the collaboration with Nike's famous Air Jordan model. Released in February 2019, it remains today still very coveted, today we give you 5 tips to recognize counterfeit Dior B23.

1. Check the "Dior" prints

What makes this pair of sneakers so successful is the superimposition of transparent inserts and canvas with a white and black Dior Oblique motif. Take a close look at these prints and you'll be able to tell if you're in possession of a counterfeit Dior B23. Look at the colour, the print quality...

2. Analyse the logo on the midsole

The second step is to analyse the logo on the midsole. Analyse this box. On an authentic pair of Dior B23s, it is perfectly executed in a rectangular shape. The counterfeiters of Dior B23 make this box in a square shape. Also, on the authentic model, the space between the edges and the white outline is larger than on a counterfeit Dior B23. Also look at the typography of "DIOR" and the quality of the printing.

3. Look at the patchwork-effect sole and its stitching.

Next, look at the stitching on the midsole, a patchwork-effect sole. This is a step very often badly imitated by Dior B23 counterfeiters. On a counterfeit, this patchwork effect sole is made too large and too thick, and in the wrong colour. The stitching is also crudely done. On an authentic pair of Dior B23s, the seams are fine and not too large.

4.check the insole

To find out whether or not you're dealing with a counterfeit Dior B23, pay attention to the insole of your pair of trainers. Look at the "DIOR" text, which is often too finely reproduced on counterfeits, and also look at the "Made in Italy" text and the quality of the printing.

5. Inspect the sole of your pair of Dior B23

Counterfeiters don't take the trouble to reproduce the Dior B23 down to the smallest detail, so on a part of the trainer like this one, where there is a lot of detail, you can easily spot a counterfeit. Once again, look at the print quality and colour of each element.
