Ace Gucci low-top trainers: spot the fakes
When it comes to luxury sneakers, the Ace low-top trainers from the famous Gucci brand are a fashion must-have. With the democratisation of streetwear and the strong logomania trend of recent years, these Gucci trainers have maintained their popularity.
However, with popularity comes imitation, either as a dupe or as a counterfeit. Here are 5 tips for recognising counterfeit Ace Gucci low-top trainers.
1 - General appearance
First, let's start by analysing the general appearance of your pair of luxury sneakers. Every detail counts, so look carefully at the seams. The price of these Gucci trainers is justified in part by the quality and materials used... So if you spot any defects, they can't be the work of Gucci, they're automatically the work of counterfeiters.
If it's a special edition with integrated pearls or other elements, check that they are of good quality and well integrated into your luxury trainers. If they are not, they are counterfeit Gucci sneakers.

2 - The bee motif
Gucci's Ace low-top trainers feature a web strip on both sides of the shoe with an embroidered bee. Let's take a look at the bee motif.
On authentic models, the bee is generally wider, longer and more curved than on fake Gucci low-top trainers. Also take a look at how this motif is embroidered on your pair of luxury shoes. Very often the colour used and the quality are radically different on fake Gucci sneakers. On authentic Gucci shoes, the embroidery is uniform and symmetrical, using a very good quality, fairly fine thread.
Finally, take a look at the position of the bee, which is often incorrectly positioned on counterfeit Gucci Ace low-top trainers.

3 - The web strip
The web stripe is a green and red stripe used in different ways on Gucci products. It is an emblematic detail of the luxury brand. Take a look at the stitching and other details of this web stripe. The colours on a fake pair of Gucci low-top trainers are often different from the authentic Gucci. Red and green are darker on real Gucci and have a matte effect.

4 - Heel details
Scales
Gucci's shoes are made with an enormous amount of detail, nothing is left to chance. They are designed in white leather with a red detail on the heel of one pair of shoes, and a green detail on the heel of the other. Take a closer look at these details.
These details, as we can see, look like scales. On real Gucci low-top trainers, these scales are oriented horizontally, on imitation Gucci low-top trainers they are oriented vertically. This is a fairly common mistake made by counterfeiters. Next, look at the quality of the scales and the workmanship, and you'll have no trouble recognising fake Gucci sneakers.
Finally, take a look at the stitching: on an original Gucci, the stitches are uniform, unlike on a Gucci copy.

Gucci text
Also look at the logo, the font and the details of the lettering. Don't hesitate to compare your pair of shoes with those on the official Gucci website. On authentic Gucci shoes, the Gucci text appears to be sewn onto the heel, whereas on imitations it appears to have been glued on, so pay attention to these details.

5 - The sole
The rubber sole
The authentic soles of the Ace Gucci low-top trainers are engraved with "GUCCI / made in italy". There is also a sticker giving further information about the pair of luxury shoes. If these elements are not present, you are in possession of a fake pair of Ace Gucci low-top trainers.
If any of these are present on the rubber sole, look at them carefully. It is quite possible that they contain defects in the font, the size of the writing or the spacing between letters and words.

The insole
Just below the rubber sole is another insole. The insole of this pair of luxury trainers is often very difficult for counterfeiters to reproduce, and there is always at least one flaw in counterfeit Gucci low-top trainers.
Firstly, on authentic Gucci low-top trainers, the insole is brown with the classic Gucci print. Many counterfeiters reproduce this sole in black. Secondly, on copies of Gucci low-top trainers, you can also see a difference in the size of the Gucci logo on the soles. Finally, check the stitching as well - there are always small defects on fake pairs of Gucci sneakers.
