4 tips for spotting fake Oran Hermès sandals
Summer is fast approaching, and summer means sandals. Retailing from €495 on the official Hermès website, the Oran sandals are a must-have for all fashion fans. Launched in 1997 by the famous French luxury fashion house, the Oran sandals by Hermès are still coveted by men and women alike. As a result, they are often counterfeited and duped. Here are 4 tips to help you spot counterfeit Hermes Oran sandals.
1. Materials and shape
The materials used by Hermès in its sandals are of the highest quality. The leather used for these shoes, when they are authentic, is a soft but very firm leather. This makes the shoes very comfortable and ensures that they retain their shape over time. On counterfeit Hermes Oran sandals, unsurprisingly, the leather used is of poor quality, the sandals are no more comfortable than any other sandals, and they do not retain their shape well. Also look at the shape of the "H" on your pair of sandals, it's a long way from a real pair of Oran sandals.

2. Seams
For these sandals, every detail is well thought out and perfectly executed, nothing is left to chance, and the stitching is flawless. In this respect, it's easy to spot a fake pair of Hermès sandals, as the stitching is full of flaws, irregular and often too big.

3. The logo
Again, it's easy to spot when you're dealing with counterfeit Hermès Oran sandals or genuine Hermès sandals. On genuine Hermès sandals, the logo is integrated directly into the lining of the shoe's insole, and in the same colour, the marking is clear and deep; whereas on fake Hermès sandals, the logo is very often in a different colour, much less precise than the genuine logo, and not integrated into the lining.

4. The outsole
The outsole of a pair of Oran Hermès sandals is made from top-quality leather and, once again, features the luxury brand's logo integrated into the sole with clear, deep branding. All the information must be perfectly legible. In large letters, you should read "HERMÈS" and not "HERMES PARIS" as on counterfeits, with the shoe size perfectly engraved just below. Further down on the sole, you'll find the shoe's material and where it was made.
