J'adior shoes: how can you spot a fake pair?
Unveiled during the spring/summer 2017 collection, the J'adior pair of pumps from the haute couture house of Dior was a hit with the public. Today, this pair of shoes is on the feet of the biggest fashion icons. The pumps are available in different heights (5.6 cm or 10 cm high), in different colours (nude, white, black) and in two different materials (fabric or calf leather). In other words, this pair of pumps can be adapted to any situation, with a high heel for evenings out or a slightly lower heel for a day at work. As you can see, this shoe is both practical and comfortable. Unfortunately, such notoriety hasn't deterred some counterfeiters, who have been quick to reproduce these iconic pumps. If you buy your pair of J'adior outside an official shop or second-hand, here are a few tips to help you distinguish a genuine pair of Dior pumps from a fake.
The heel :
First of all, pay particular attention to the heel of your Dior pumps. Whether high or low, the heel contributes to the elegance and unique design of this pair of luxury shoes.
The heel replicas on this magnificent pair of shoes are imperfect. In fact, the curvature of the heel is not the same as on an authentic pump. The connection between the heel and the rest of the shoe is crudely made, and gaps are visible.
On an authentic pair, this connection is thinner and narrower. What's more, the back of the shoe is slightly curved, which is necessary for good foot support. It is non-existent on replicas of the Dior shoe.

The J'adior ribbon:
Pay particular attention to the J'adior ribbon that adorns this pair of shoes. On counterfeit J'adior shoes, this ribbon is narrow and asymmetrical, which is not the case on an authentic pair of J'adior shoes. The luxury brand's ribbon is perfectly symmetrical and wide. It is also more structured.
It's also interesting to observe the font of the 'J'adior' inscriptions on this ribbon. Writing fonts are complicated to counterfeit, making them interesting for you to analyse. On real Dior pumps, each letter and space is the same size. This is not the case on replica shoes, where the letters are asymmetrical and scattered.

The sole :
Now let's check the sole of the shoe. Take a closer look at the Dior logo and the stitching.
On an authentic shoe, the stitching perfectly follows the lines and curves of the pump. The stitching on a replica shoe is sloppy and asymmetrical.
The letters printed on the sole to form the word "Christian Dior" are clear and legible. This is not the case with a counterfeit. The letters on the counterfeit shoes are not clear, as if they were worn.

Shoe fabric :
This pump has been designed and crafted by the Dior ateliers to be both chic and comfortable. To achieve this, they have used a material that allows your feet to breathe. The mesh surface is designed to prevent your feet from overheating.
The material used by replica factories is absolutely not the same. They use an imitation of this fabric, which looks cheap and doesn't allow your feet to breathe.

The outsole :
The last point to pay attention to is the outsole, and more specifically the star in the centre of the outsole. The star was a symbol of luck for the creator of the house of Dior.
The star on a Dior sole is well defined, with pointed ends. On a replica of these luxury pumps, the star is much less finished and its ends are more rounded. The hole in the centre of the star is also smaller than it should be.
The brand name and shoe size are not as big and wide on a replica as they are on an authentic shoe.
