How can you spot a fake Bottega Veneta cassette bag?
Since its creation, Bottega Veneta has set new standards in luxury. Veneta stands out for its designs, each more original than the last. It was with this in mind that the company launched its emblematic cassette bag. Its design and practicality won over anyone who wanted to own a unique piece of luxury. Unfortunately, its fame has not only attracted fashionistas, but also counterfeiters who have been quick to create imitations of this fashion accessory. However, there are a few tricks you can use to spot replicas of the Bottega Veneta cassette bag. In this article, we give you four of them.
Weaving the bag :
The detail that sets this model apart from all the others is its lightly quilted, double-sided weave. Veneta manufactures this weave from lambskin, making the bag durable and difficult to counterfeit.
The weave of an imitation bag looks like bubbles or is completely flat. The original weave of a genuine bag is slightly curved and firm. Take a close look at the details of the weave, because replica factories use poor quality leather that scratches and tears quickly.
Bottega Veneta is renowned for its impeccable craftsmanship, so if you see uneven seams or stitches that don't line up, you're probably looking at a replica.

The buckle on the shoulder strap :
Pay close attention to the buckle on the shoulder strap, which is another clue to its authenticity. The materials and shapes used differ from real to fake cassette bags.
The buckle made by the luxury house is matt, unlike the one made by a replica factory, which is shiny. What's more, an authentic buckle is thicker and wider than a replica buckle.

Cassette bag closure :
Also check the closure of your bag and, more specifically, the brand inscription on it. Fraudsters do not reproduce the letters of the luxury brand perfectly.
The Veneta letters are slanted and beautifully engraved on an authentic bag. Counterfeiters, on the other hand, will offer you an inscription with narrower, smaller letters.
As with the bag buckle, look at the material used. A luxury cassette bag fastener should be matt.

Brand inscription on the inside of the bag:
The last, but by no means least, point of vigilance concerns the presence of the brand's inscription. Some replica factories don't bother to copy the Bottega Veneta signature on the inside of the cassette bag. The brand name and the words 'Made in Italy' should appear.
