How can you spot a fake Cartier "Love" ring?
The jewellery of the richest and most influential people, Cartier has become a leading house of fine jewellery. Its iconic pieces include the academician's sword and the unique pear-shaped diamond. In more than 160 years, Cartier has established a worldwide presence. The Love de Cartier ring, with its screw motif inscriptions, has been anchored in the history of jewellery for many years. Buying a piece of fine jewellery is not a trivial purchase, so it's important to look at it carefully. That's why, in this article, we reveal our tips for successfully spotting a fake Cartier "Love" ring.
Diamonds :
First of all, pay particular attention to the sparkling diamond on the front of your Cartier ring. Cartier diamonds are meticulously selected. Each of the brand's creations has a unique character and each diamond radiates a singular sparkle.
Counterfeiters do not use real diamonds for profit. The difference between a real diamond and a fake can be seen with the naked eye. A fake diamond is matt, darker, non-reflective and much less brilliant. A real diamond is sparkling and has no blemishes, scratches or other imperfections.

The inside :
You should also check the inside of the ring, which contains a variety of information: the brand name, a circled 'C', the ring size and a series of numbers corresponding to the ring's serial number. The different fonts can tell you a lot about the ring and its authenticity.
First, look at the circled 'C', symbolising Cartier copyright. This wording is poorly engraved on counterfeits, making it difficult to see. The circle is also too thick.
Now look at the Cartier logo. The text on the fake ring is too framed and thicker than on the genuine Love Cartier ring. The real Cartier logo is wider and has a more "airy" look. Also look at the inscription of the size of your luxury ring. The inscription on a genuine Cartier ring is wider and more deeply engraved than a fake, making it look sharper.

Exterior features :
Also pay attention to the external features of your luxury ring. These rounded features are what give the ring its charm, so Cartier pays particular attention to them. Counterfeiters don't bother to pay the same attention. It is therefore essential that you analyse them.
The circles on the fake ring are inconsistent, as they are not as symmetrical as on an authentic ring from the brand. The lines on the fake ring are also too thick and too deep.
The lines of a real Cartier ring are finer and more elegant, reflecting the unique expertise of this fine jewellery house.

The ring box :
Last but not least, you need to check the box of the luxury ring and, more specifically, the brand inscription inside the box. This inscription is too thin on counterfeit boxes. The letters are also too narrow.
The 'CARTIER' inscription on a real case is thicker and more deeply engraved, making it sharper.
