How to Spot Fake Versace Chain Reaction Trainers?
Despite the untimely death of its founder, Versace is still very much alive in the fashion world, and has succeeded in making its mark over the years. With Donatella Versace at the helm, the Italian brand is breaking away from codes with surprising combinations of colours and materials. Among the most daring of these models is the Chain Reaction trainer. However, they are the target of counterfeiters who are constantly rushing to reproduce this now iconic model. Even if the counterfeits are successful, the know-how of the Italian luxury house cannot be equalled. In this article, we give you our tips on how to spot a genuine Versace Chain Reaction pair from a fake.
Size label :
First of all, take a close look at the size label sewn onto the inside of the tongue. Versace's counterfeit Chain Reaction pairs are in fact defective when it comes to the font on this label.
On a counterfeit, the font size is much thicker than on a genuine pair. The same fault is found on the words 'Made in Italy'. Once again, the font is thicker than it should be. This label is also smaller on replicas of the luxury pair.

The back of the trainer :
You should also pay particular attention to the back of the shoe, and more specifically its last. This tells you a lot about the authenticity of the shoes. Replica factories don't apply themselves as much as the Italian luxury company.
In fact, on counterfeit Chain Reaction trainers, the general shape of the central side of the trainer is too large and too massive. This defect is completely visible to the naked eye. On authentic Chain Reaction Versace shoes, the back of the shoe is thinner.
The general shape of the replicas does not respect the original shape. In fact, their shape is more "droopy" than it should be. The space between the sole and the fabric of the shoe must be the same, which is not the case with trainers made by counterfeiters.

The toe area:
The next point to analyse concerns the front part of your pair of Chain Reaction Versace shoes. This part is very interesting to analyse because the swollen appearance of the shoe on this part gives it a unique look. Without this swelling effect, the shoe loses its charm.
Counterfeit factories regularly make this part either too curved or far too flat. Compare your shoe with a photo of the official pair. In the photo below, the trainer was too flat and too thin.

The midsole :
Also look at the midsole, and more specifically the anagram on the side of the shoe. It's interesting to note that it's often poorly replicated.
The pattern on the side of the shoe is too visible on a replica, too defined and textured. This pattern is more distinguished and therefore less visible on an authentic pair. Versace makes this pattern less detailed, the exact opposite of what replica factories do.

Laces:
The last but not least point to check concerns the laces on the pair of shoes. It's important to look at them because they differ between a real and a fake pair of Chain Reaction shoes.
The centre seam of fake trainers is less detailed than that of genuine trainers. In fact, the centre seam of the trainers has white dots on its edges, which are too thin and too small. The Versace dots are thicker and more massive.
