Armed robbery following a Leboncoin advert
Thinking they were getting a bargain when they answered an advert on Leboncoin to buy a computer, a couple ended up being robbed last Saturday.
An advert for the sale of a computer disguised as a hold-up
Two individuals had posted an advert on Leboncoin claiming to be selling a computer for €2,200. The couple, interested in the property, responded to the ad. To complete the transaction, they had to go to the Maréchaux residence in the Yvelines at 7.30pm.
It is at this point that the situation becomes complicated and takes on the trappings of fiction.
An armed attack
Arriving at the meeting place to carry out their exchange, Gabriel and Marine are greeted by a young man. They then enter a building that they are told has a second entrance. It is through this entrance that the second assailant suddenly appears. He threatens the couple with a firearm and demands the money they had planned to spend on the computer, which they had left in the car for safety's sake.
The two distraught assailants demanded that the couple hand over everything they had on them. They ended up fleeing on a scooter with the woman's handbag, which contained her mobile phone, camera and identity papers.
An investigation has been launched
Although the victims were quick to alert the police, the assailants managed to escape.
Investigators from Conflans-Sainte-Honorine police station took fingerprints from the scene of the attack in an attempt to find the two criminals.

Unfortunately, this type of scam is a classic feature of private sales websites. As security is less obvious throughout a transaction, some malicious people take advantage of it.
Using Obvy means opting for a secure payment method and, above all, total traceability of your transactions. Once you've found your seller (or buyer), our teams will check their identity, so you can avoid any kind of scam.
