Advice and tips on buying and selling between private individuals

He ends up in his pants and tied up in a forest, after a car sale between private individuals

A disconcerting story, to say the least, which took place in the east of the country, in Remiremont, during which a 33-year-old man, after being assaulted, spent an hour tied up in the forest, in his pants, following an incident involving the sale of a car between private individuals.

A buyer who feels aggrieved and who goes to great lengths to express his dissatisfaction

Following a purchase that left him less than satisfied, the buyer enlists the services of two youngsters to bring the seller back to him and, we imagine, give him a hard time. The seller, however, had the instinct to leave town, so the two young mercenaries turned to a friend of the seller. The seller's friend is taken back to a flat, where the dissatisfied buyer is. This is where the trouble begins.

The seller's friend is taken into the forest

After being intimidated and abused by the three individuals, they decided to drag him into the forest, where they stripped him of his clothes, broke his telephone and finally tied him to a tree before leaving. Fortunately, the victim managed to get out of the situation, which was unpleasant to say the least. On the way, he met two hikers to whom he recounted his misadventures, and soon afterwards gave his story to the authorities. A ten-day investigation followed, during which five people were arrested. Two were quickly cleared. The last three were not so lucky.

Suspects arrested

Despite denying the charges in their entirety and claiming inadmissible alibis, the buyer and his two accomplices were caught by the authorities. All three were subsequently brought before a judge, who decided to detain them in Epinal.

The quietest part of the story remains the original salesman, who left town, probably feeling the wind shift against him. But he has probably lost a friend, who is unlikely to forget his trip to the forest...
