How to spot a fake Dyson Airwrap?

Now an iconic product from the British appliance brand, the Dyson Airwrap revolutionised the market following its release in 2018. Designed for faster, easier styling without extreme heat, the tool was an instant hit. It captured many hearts with its variety of attachments and design. The on/off button:

The first clue is the ignition button. On a genuine product, the button fits wonderfully into its slot and is perfectly round. The button is also easy to control and move smoothly. On a counterfeit, the button will be longer and may even flap slightly at the sides.

What you also need to look out for is a small white circle on the top of the button, as you can see in the image below. This will attest to its authenticity.

The filter part of the product :

Now to the bottom of the product. The filter section of the Dyson Airwrap is very different from that of the genuine article.

The brand's original product has an automatic, magnetic closure. When you bring the two ends together, they attract each other and connect perfectly and quickly. Crooks haven't bothered to do the same. If you don't find this magnetic closure on your product, you're probably looking at a replica.

Also check the label that's attached to the bottom of the product, which has the barcode, CE markings and so on. On a real Dyson Airwrap, the font used for the number below the barcode is small and thin. Replica factories, on the other hand, use a double bold and coarser font.

Finishes :

Last but not least is the finish of the product. Pay particular attention to these. For a product of this price, the finish must be absolutely perfect. Every part of the product is meticulously studied. So, if you see parts of the brush coming loose, buttons that are difficult to push or scratches, then you're dealing with a product from a replica factory.
