How can you spot a fake Huda Beauty Liquid Matte?

Huda Beauty, one of the most famous beauty influencers on the networks, has made many people happy by releasing Liquid Matte lipsticks under her brand. Unfortunately, the market is flooded with fake make-up products from high-end brands other than Huda Beauty, such as Kylie Cosmetics, Urban Decay, Fenty Beauty... So, faced with the craze created around Hudy Beauty's Liquid Matte, the imitation and counterfeit industry wasn't going to stand still. As a result, numerous copies have been launched, and counterfeiters are having a field day pretending their products are authentic. But don't worry, we're going to give you all the details you need to help you spot the differences between a real and a fake Huda Beauty liquid matte, so you don't spend money thinking the product is genuine when it's not.

1. The packaging

The front of the box

First of all, looking at the front of the box you might think that they both look pretty much the same, except for the difference in size and shade of lipstick. However, once you slide the outer lid off, you'll see that it's a deception. In fact, you can see from the image on the left that the Liquid Matte lipstick is simply printed on white card. Whereas the real Liquid Matte lipstick in the image on the right comes with a transparent plastic outer packaging through which the tube can be seen. This gives the illusion of being held in the lips shown in the packaging image, so you can see the tube before opening it. The deception is such that the counterfeiters have only taken the trouble to print the image of the lipstick tube on cardboard, thinking that the illusion would be similar.

What's more, you can see that the lips on the two packages aren't actually all that similar. The genuine Liquid Matte on the right has longer, fuller lips than the fake Liquid Matte on the left. But also that the real packaging has two visible front teeth under the upper lip while the fake box has four visible teeth. The details on the front of the packaging are therefore very important, so be meticulous in your search.

The side of the box

Now turn the lipstick packaging over to see what's happening on the side. This detail is undeniably effective in spotting a counterfeit Huda Beauty Liquid Matte. As an example, you can see from the images below that the text on the side indicating the name of the shade is smaller on the original product. What's more, the real product has its letters in upper case, whereas the fake Liquid Matte has its font in lower case.

2. The tube

The size

As far as the tubes are concerned, they look more or less the same. However, the real Liquid Matte Huda Beauty tube is made from frosted glass, which is often not the case with counterfeit Liquid Matte Huda Beauty tubes. In fact, the quality of the fake tube is often very cheap and rough. Sometimes the tube sizes also differ, as you can see from the comparison images below, where the fake tube is a little smaller and thinner than the original. You'll also notice that there's more space visible on the original end of the tube.

The police

The next thing to note is the brand name written on the tube. In fact, you can see from the image on the left that the font size on the fake tube is much larger. What's more, the word 'Beauty' in Hudabeauty is written in a deep, reflective shade of pink and purple, whereas on the fake tube it's a flat, dimensionless pink. The sticker on the real tube includes details and information about the company.

The back of the tube

You'll also find that one of the easiest ways to spot fake Huda Beauty Liquid Matte Lipstick is to check the back of the tube where the shade name is usually mentioned. As you can see from the images above, the original has the shade name mentioned along with company details on the sticker whereas the fake has only the brand and shade name mentioned.
